Brrr… Time to Wear a Coat

My winter coat will be white this year. I’ve had one in the past and it really isn’t that hard to keep clean. Plus you could get it scotch guarded then it is a piece of cake. Blondes look great in white coats. That is a fact. Plus, a white coat creates a gorgeous monochromatic style that encompasses the scenery – blonde hair, white snow, creamy white skin, and.. white coat. Gorgeous. Toss in some super red Dior Dior Addict Lipstick and you’re a bombshell.

Alligator! – Audrey Hepburn

She may not be a sexpot pinup like Marilyn, Jean, or Bettie – her style is just too classy – but she is still a bombshell! Her glamour and beauty is inspirational.

Who can’t relate to Holly Golightly and her glamourous struggle to find out where she fits in in the world?

There is plenty of more educated critiques and commentary on Breakfast at Tiffany’s then what I can offer but I can say this – I was delighted to see that I was not the only woman who tried to reinvent herself at any given moment and who throws everything she has into her latest, albeit, fleeting goal. (Portugese anyone?)

Oh and this movie ranks up there with one of my favorite “drunk lady” scenes. I always get a chuckle over scenes where put-together women have a couple too many cocktails and their true, silly colors start to show. Also on THAT list is Monkey Business staring Marilyn Monroe. (FYI, the author of Breakfast at Tiffany’s originally wanted Marilyn Monroe to star Holly – he seen the character as grittier than cute & classy Audrey)
