Milk Money

I have always had an intimate relationship with personal finances. After finishing my accounting degrees and becoming a CPA it has only gotten worse. There are the investment accounts, the retirement accounts, the savings accounts, the life insurance, etc etc. But a girl just has to have some fun!!

I get $350 a month to spend on whatever I want and everything I need – clothes, food, snacks, entertainment, bar nights, shoes, makeup. The only thing that doesn’t come out of this allowance is my hair appointment. In my mind, this is most definitely a business expense. I can’t go see a rich client with 2 inch roots. Bleach is NOT discretionary spending!

Everything else is though. Since I spend so much time planning my purchases for the month, I thought I would chronicle the event. For the reader, this is How-To-Get-The-Most-Bang-For-Your-Buck 101.

What will it be this month? Diamonds and ramen? A full fridge, girls night out, and some knock-off aviators? Let the games begin…
